Aroma has subtle hints of sherry, vanilla and smoke. This is a dark, smooth and oily whisky - I noticed flavours of dark chocolate, tar, peat and salt. The real character comes through in the aftertaste - lingering peat and salt. Unmistakably Islay, and superb!
The flavour was amazing
Bunnahabhain is my favourite range of unpeated whisky, there are many choices. My initial taste was a little disappointing but the high strength 8 year old whisky gave another choice. I would buy again on reflection.
Never tasted a bad Bunna.this is a level up on the normal 12 year old to me.Another great value signatory 100 proof bottle.
