Hart Brothers

Like many independent bottlers, Hart Brothers began as blenders in 1964. They did not begin to offer single malts under their own labels until the 1990s.

Over the years they have released some exceptional and often quite ‘left field’ bottlings. They are good at sourcing parcels of stock which other bottlers don’t seem to have and offering terrific but unusual drams.

Some of the highlights over the years have been the 1968 Laphroaig, the 1958 Tamdhu and the 1964 Glenfiddich.

They still bottle excellent single casks today, although they keep a somewhat lower profile from the other Scottish independent bottlers. Their releases are always well worth seeking out and trying.
