Delord is a family-owned company based in Lannepax in the heart of Armagnac country, where they make field-to-bottle Armagnacs with total control over every facet of the process, from growing their own grapes to vinifying their wines and distilling their own spirits.

Now well established in the UK’s leading restaurants and high end hotel bars, the historic Delord marque was founded in the 1930s by the sons of 19th century travelling distiller Prosper Delord. Prosper Delord was a travelling armagnac distiller whose wife Marie Duffau inherited family vineyards in Gascony near Lannepax; in 1932 their sons Georges and Gaston founded the Delord Freres house, and the company is still run by Prosper and Marie’s grandsons and great-grandsons today. 

Delord is one of the most comprehensive operations in Armagnac, with the family growing and vinifying their own grapes, and distilling, ageing and blending their Armagnacs themselves. Delord’s armagnacs are almost all Bas Armagnac, the most prestigious sub-appellation in the category, and are made with the classic Baco, Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc grapes, occasionally with some Colombard in the assemblage. All grape varieties are harvested and vinified separately before distillation.
