Japanese Whisky

Japanese whisky is as a premium spirit inspired by traditional Scotch methodology, Japanese whisky is renowned for its balance, elegance, and meticulous craftsmanship.

The category is defined by strict regulations requiring the spirit to be fermented, distilled, aged in wooden casks for at least three years, and bottled in Japan using local water. While the industry was founded on techniques studied in Scotland, it distinguishes itself through vertical integration—where single producers create numerous styles in-house—and the use of unique casks like native Mizunara oak that impart distinct notes of sandalwood and spice.
