A special small Batch Yamazaki Limited Edition released in 2016. This was part of a series of Limited Edition Japanese single malt whiskies from Yamazaki released between 2014-2017 and resuming in 2021.
For Yamazaki Limited Edition 2016, Suntory's Master Blender Shinji Fukuyo assembled European oak sherry and port casks aged over 20 years and blended them with younger ex-bourbon casks to create a rich, but fresh and characterful Yamazaki single malt that has become increasingly popular with Japanese whisky fans and collectors.
