This 14-year-old Orkney (HP) 2011 100-Proof was bottled by Signatory without colouring or chill filtration in 2026 after finishing in a small batch of first fill Oloroso sherry butts at a chunky 57.1% strength, equivalent to 100-Proof in the old UK imperial measurements. Looks like Signatory have hit the jackpot once again with another amazing bargain from this blue chip Edrington island distillery.
Gentle smoke and rich sweetness. Simply very nice.. Very drinkable.

Worth Every Penny
Have to say from the off, it’s a wee bobby dazzler. Beautiful sweet notes of sherry, stewed pears and a slight hint of smoke. On the palate it’s like a nice clootie pudding, plenty of warmth, raisins and black treacle. And then at the end just a nice gentle hint of that smokiness you’d expect from an Orkney. Definitely needs just a wee splash of H2O due to the proof, but it opens it up beautifully. There’s a nice lingering finish which just leaves you wanting more. Absolute belter at this price. Another great example from Signatory Vintage.

I really shouldn't share how good this whisky is as I don't want it to sell out. One of the few non sherried releases in this series and therefore quite different from most I have tried before. Absolutely delicious whisky.
