Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Berry Bros & Rudd 70cl / 57.9%
A 2013 Williamson 9-year-old Islay single malt whisky bottled from a single cask without colouring or chill filtration by our claret-quaffing chums at Berry Bros & Rudd.
This 9-year-old Williamson 2013 from BBR joins a long list of 'Williamson' Laphroaigs that have graced our shelves recently, and it looks like one of the best yet. This is a single cask Williamson that began maturation in a hogshead before being transferred to a Moscatel sherry cask for finishing, and has been bottled at a pretty epic cask strength of 57.9%.
Please note that this Berry Bros Williamson 2013 is Strictly Maximum 1 Bottle Per Customer.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: This is a massive whisky, with huge aromas of peat fires, ash and iodine. This is combined with a subtly spicy character from a glorious ex-Moscatel cask, giving notes of gingerbread, apricot and sultana bread.
Palate: The palate is equally monstrous - Islay whisky at its vulgar best: peat smoke, leather and seaweed, all rounded by a hugely fruity cask which adds a luxurious mouthfeel.
Finish: The thick texture adds length to the finish, giving more dried fruit and ash. It’s sudden, powerful, complex, lasting and memorable. Jings!
