An old 1970s bottle of Whyte & Mackay's 21-year-old blended Scotch whisky. These lovely old oval decanter-style bottles were done in small batches from the 1970s onwards - this one has the old imperial measures on the label and must have been bottled no later than 1979.
It's remarkable to think that the whiskies used to create this 21-year-old Whyte & Mackay would have been distilled in the 1950s. All the bottles of this that we've tried have been superb, delicate but rich blended whiskies in the best old school tradition.
