A 2014 vintage Tullibardine, aged for 12 years and bottled in 2026 by Alistair Walker for Batch 22 of his Infrequent Flyers series. Drawn from single cask #7125, a Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead, this Highland single malt was bottled at 54.2%, with an outturn of 315 bottles. This is release number 198 from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company.

Situated near Blackford in Perthshire, Tullibardine has a history stretching back to 1949, when the modern distillery was established on the site of a former brewery. Traditionally associated with a relatively light, approachable Highland style, its spirit lends itself particularly well to different cask influences, including the richer characteristics of sherry wood.

This particular release has received a Pedro Ximénez sherry finish, a style of maturation known for bringing considerable richness, sweetness and depth to single malt whisky. The influence of PX sherry can introduce notes of raisins, dates, dark chocolate, treacle and warming spices, providing an interesting contrast to Tullibardine's naturally gentle, malty character.

Founded in 2018, Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers series has established a reputation for selecting distinctive individual casks, often from distilleries that receive less attention from independent bottlers. This 12 year old Tullibardine is an interesting addition to the range, combining Highland single malt with the generous influence of Pedro Ximénez sherry wood.
