A superb old Tullibardine from Douglas Laing’s Xtra Old Particular (XOP) range, distilled in March 1993 and bottled in March 2023 after 30 years of maturation.

This Tullibardine 1993 was matured in a single refill hogshead, Cask DL17244, which yielded just 226 hand-filled bottles at a natural cask strength of 51.8%. This is Bottle No. 1 of the release. As with the rest of the XOP range, it was bottled without added colouring or chill filtration.

Tullibardine’s soft, malty Highland spirit can work particularly well with long maturation, and three decades in a refill hogshead should allow plenty of mature complexity while retaining the distillery character. Douglas Laing’s tasting notes highlight hickory, liquorice and late sugar on the nose, developing towards Muscovado and toffee on the finish.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
