Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Cadenhead's 75cl / 26 2/3 Fl Oz / 45.7% / 80 Proof
A remarkable single cask Tomatin 1956 24-year-old Highland single malt whisky bottled by independent bottlers Cadenheads in 1980 in their famous brown glass dumpy bottles.
This 24-year-old Tomatin 1956 was bottled in December 1980 at 80 UK Imperial proof, equivalent to 45.7%. 1956 seems to have been the earliest Tomatin vintage ever bottled, as far as we can tell, and this Cadenhead’s dumpy is the only bottling of Tomatin 1956 that we’re aware of - so if you're looking for the earliest Tomatin, you've just found it.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
