Single Malt English Whisky
Bottled by: The Single Cask 70cl / 64.2%
This was definitely our favourite whisky from the recent samples we tried from The Single Cask. Some may say that it was a surprise that this came out on top for us but we have tried some cask samples from the St Georges Distillery and they really are top quality.
This whisky was distilled in 2011 and matured in a single ex-bourbon American oak cask before being bottled 7 years later with a cask strength of 64.2% and a yield of just 232 bottles.
Malty and peaty with a long finish - absolutely superb. Check out the full tasting notes on our tastings notes tab.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet malt, earth, green leaves and thyme cut through the thick peat.
Palate: Malty sweetness and peat at first, but then followed by limestone covered in toffee and sprinkled in barley sugar
Finish: Long, spicy, and lingering - what more could you ask for?
