This 33-year-old Strathisla 1987 came from a refill American hogshead cask that yielded just 174 bottles at its impressive natural cask strength of 56.8%. Strathisla is one of the greatest Speyside distilleries and G&M have been responsible for the vast majority of the best ever bottlings of its whisky. This should be an absolutely beautiful dram.

Nose: Sweet apple aromas complement fresh honey and lime zest. Palate: Tropical fruit flavours give way to cracked black pepper and roasted peanuts. Finish: Delicate with brown sugar and soft fruits.

I bought this as a present then did the tour with my brother at Lindores Abbey distillery in Newburgh Fife.The bottle i bought from Whisky-online was cheaper than at Lindores ,very happy again and a very quick delivery.
