Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%
A very rare 1990s 'green thistle' bottle of Springbank CV, the company's no-age-statement bottling that made a short-lived appearance in the 1990s before being reintroduced briefly between 2009-2013.
Springbank CV was always something of a hybrid bottling, featuring casks of various different ages and types all vatted together to create a uniquely Springbankian assemblage. As to the name itself, most people assumed that the CV stood for Curriculum Vitae, but this was never officially confirmed - the distillery themselves remained coy on the meaning, saying only "What does CV mean? Chairman's Vat? Currriculum Vitae? Cuvee of Vintages? It means whatever you want it to mean, enjoying the whisky is the most important thing".
