A maritime blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, Rock Island Small Batch Release brings together malt whiskies distilled on several of Scotland's whisky-producing islands, including Islay, Arran, Orkney and Jura.

Bottled at 46.8% without chill filtration, Rock Island is designed around the coastal character associated with Scotland's island malts. The blend combines sweet malt and gentle smoke with the salty, maritime qualities that have become the hallmark of the Rock Island range.

Originally launched as Rock Oyster, the whisky was renamed Rock Island in 2019 while retaining its focus on combining malt whiskies from Scotland's island distilleries.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe wave-soaked rocks and a salty, oceanic freshness on the nose. The palate carries soft ash with peat, honey sweetness, crushed sugar, juicy barley and late pepper, all neatly replicated on the long, moreish finish.
