British Virgin Islands, Guyana & Trinidad Bottled by: Pusser's Rum Ltd 1 Litre / 54.5%
Named for Admiral Nelson, these Pusser's British Navy Rum decanters feature a broad base specifically designed for stability on ships. This particular piece is a 1-litre Finest English Porcelain decanter manufactured by WADE and is bottled at 54.5%.
It's famously associated with the 1970 "Black Tot Day," marking the end of the daily rum ration. A notable feature of this decanter is its design, which passes the "Rodney Test." to ensure stability in rough seas.
The "Rodney Test," a historical standard used to measure the design and stability of a ship's decanter. This test ensures that a decanter can withstand the motion of a ship at sea without tipping over.
According to legend, a true ship's decanter passes the "Rodney Test" if the shortest distance from the outer edge of the pouring lip to the edge of the base is equal to or greater than the lip's outer circumference.
This set includes a ceramic stopper cork depicting HMS Victory Trafalgar 1805. Please note the box has seen better days and has wear & tear.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.
