A single cask North British single grain Scotch whisky, distilled on 17th December 1992 and bottled in April 2026 by Alistair Walker Whisky Company for Batch 21 of his acclaimed Infrequent Flyers series. Matured for 33 years in cask #7134, this release spent approximately 3 years and 8 months finishing in an Ozark Virgin Oak barrel before being bottled at 49.4% ABV. Limited to just 221 bottles and bottled without chill filtration or added colour.

Founded by whisky industry veteran Alistair Walker, the Infrequent Flyers range showcases small-batch and single cask whiskies selected to highlight unusual maturations and distinctive distillery character. This long-aged North British demonstrates how an extended finish in Ozark Virgin Oak can add an intriguing layer of complexity to the distillery's naturally light and creamy grain spirit. Expect notes of baked pears, marzipan, dark chocolate, Battenberg cake, crisp cannoli pastry, rich honey and gentle baking spices, complemented by subtle hints of star anise and toasted oak.

North British is one of Scotland's largest and most respected grain distilleries, supplying whisky for many famous blends while only rarely appearing as a single cask bottling. With over three decades of maturation and an uncommon Ozark Virgin Oak finish, this is an unusual opportunity to experience one of Scotland's finest grain whiskies in an innovative and highly individual style.

Batch 21 of the Infrequent Flyers Collection was bottled in April 2026 and comprises seven individual single cask releases (AWW Release Numbers 186 to 192), each selected by Alistair Walker to showcase distinctive cask maturation and bottled in limited quantities at natural cask strength.

Colour: Rich amber.

Nose: Baked pears and oodles of marzipan, with an excellent and most welcome appearance by dark chocolate Bounty Bar.

Taste: A big slab of Battenberg cake. Superb Sicilian patisserie note of cannoli shells. A touch of star anise, and rich honey.
