The release of Nc'Nean Organic Batch BU06 marks something of a departure for the climate-neutral distillery, with a tweak to the cask recipe.
Where the majority of Nc'Nean's previous batches have been 65% STR (Shaved, Toasted & Recharred Casks) and 35% ex-bourbon, Batch BU06 drops the STR percentage to 43%, ups the ex-American whiskey component to 55% and now has 2% Oloroso sherry cask-matured whisky in the mix.
Worried purists may rest assured, as it's still bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration.
