A lovely old ceramic decanter of Highland single malt whisky issued in the 1980s by Morrison Bowmore Distillers for patrons of the QE2 luxury cruise liner.
There were several different versions of these QE2 whisky decanters, with most of them being filled with Glen Garioch single malt whisky, though of course rumours often flew about that they were actually Bowmore.
Other than stating the obvious - that the ones labelled as Highland malt can't be Auchentoshan - it's difficult to be definitive on the contents of these decanters, though some of them had a little pamphlet revealing that they were Glen Garioch. Sadly these were rather flimsy and most surviving decanters have lost them in the interim.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
