Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Direct Wines Ltd 70cl / 46%
Distilled on 6th December 1983, this 20-year-old Littlemill was bottled by First Cask from single cask #2897 at 46% ABV. One of the final generations of spirit produced at the historic Lowland distillery before its closure, it offers an increasingly scarce opportunity to experience whisky from one of Scotland's lost distilleries.
Littlemill was renowned for producing an elegant, fruity Lowland style, often displaying notes of citrus, orchard fruits, fresh grass and vanilla with a gentle malty sweetness. Independent bottlings such as this First Cask release have become particularly sought after following the distillery's demolition and the destruction of its remaining buildings in 2004, ensuring no more Littlemill spirit will ever be produced. An excellent example of this silent distillery, presented from a single cask and bottled in the early 2000s.

I really shouldn't share how good this whisky is as I don't want it to sell out. One of the few non sherried releases in this series and therefore quite different from most I have tried before. Absolutely delicious whisky.
