Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46.6%
Released in May 2015, this exceptional Laphroaig 32 Year Old is one of the oldest official expressions produced by the iconic Islay distillery. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 46.6% ABV, it was matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned hogsheads for more than three decades, creating a richly flavoured whisky that balances Laphroaig's unmistakable medicinal peat with remarkable maturity and elegance.
Distilled during the early 1980s, this limited edition was overseen by Distillery Manager John Campbell. Long maturation in sherry wood has softened the distillery's powerful maritime character, introducing layers of dried fruits, polished oak, dark chocolate, leather and warming spice while retaining the signature iodine, seaweed and earthy smoke that define Laphroaig.
A superb example of well-aged Islay whisky, the 2015 release demonstrates how longer maturation can add depth and complexity without losing the distillery's distinctive character.

I really shouldn't share how good this whisky is as I don't want it to sell out. One of the few non sherried releases in this series and therefore quite different from most I have tried before. Absolutely delicious whisky.
