Kavalan's Bourbon Oak Matured is like a lower strength, small batch version of the Taiwanese distillery's Solist Bourbon series of single cask whiskies, and is sourced and vatted using the same type of bourbon casks.
While Solist bottlings are full strength single casks, these Kavalan Bourbon Oak batches are reduced to 46% for easier drinking, and are characterised by plenty of honey, vanilla and tropical fruit flavours.
