Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: The Scotch Malt Whisky Society 18.75cl / 48% / 84 Proof
An old quarter bottle of Jura Island single malt whisky bottled most likely in the late 1980s by indie bottlers The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This quarter bottle of Jura single malt was released at a hearty 84 UK Imperial proof, aka 48%.
This old school Jura single malt from the SMWS is a particularly unusual size, 18.75cl (aka 187.5ml), which is exactly a quarter of the standard 75cl bottle size of the day, rather than the more common 20cl quarter bottle size. The SMWS only did a handful of bottlings in this size between 1987-1991 and they were slightly diluted versions of previous bottlings - the Juras are said to be from 1972 and 1976, and were delicious old school phenolic Island drams.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.
