Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Chivas Brothers' 70cl / 48.85%
Inverleven was a malt produced on pot and lomond stills at Dumbarton Grain distillery between 1938 and 1991. It is a considerably rare spirit to find so this unique official aged expression should be pretty fascinating.
The whisky tended to be quite austere and occasionally a bit old style but also with some very beautiful aspects like fresh citrus, nuts, minerality and white flower notes. There are several stunning independent versions knocking about but even to this day it remains relatively unknown. A shame considering its unusual history and intriguing profile.
A gorgeous and natural looking 36yo Inverleven from Chivas. This is the first official bottling of what is an obscure but often fantastic whisky. This one looks truly mouthwatering.
