Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Cooper's Choice 70cl / 46.5%
A real rarity - a long-aged single grain whisky from Whyte & MacKay's Invergordon distillery, a 36 million litre a year facility in the Scottish Highlands that spends most of its time making the grain component for W&M's many blends.
Invergordon's official bottlings are vanishingly rare, so it's really only available from indie bottlers. We're grateful, then, that Cooper's Choice have snagged this 33-year-old Invergordon single grain whisky from the 1987 vintage, bottled from an ex-bourbon cask in 2021 at 46.5%.
This will be a treat, and like most grain whisky it's amazing value for a dram of this great age.
