High West Campfire is a great experiment using Scotch, Bourbon and Rye whiskies.
The marrying together of peated Scotch whisky, bourbon and rye in this blend results in the lovely campfire smoky notes and really do make this one of a kind whisky a success.

A blend of bourbon, rye, and peated Scotch whisky, ranging in age from 4-8 years old. Straight Rye Whiskeys: 95% rye, 5% barley malt from MGP and 80% Rye, 20% malted rye from High West Distillery. Straight Bourbon Whiskey: 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% barley malt from MGP. Blended Malt Scotch Whisky: Undisclosed Source (due to contractual reasons).
Tasting Notes
Nose: Floral, fruity, bright and spicy, caramel, butterscotch, Light smoke and smouldering wood from a campfire the morning after, jasmine, chai tea, sandalwood, leather, tobacco, pine resin and toasted bread. Palate: Vanilla, honey, toffee with some nice fruit, blueberries and black cherries, chai spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, orange zest, salty caramels, tobacco, gentle smoke! Finish: Long, sweet, spicy, and smoky

Admittedly, I haven't tried every whisky in the world. I like the Laphroaig, peaty and uncompromising end of the single malt scale. This is my current favourite. A brutal and beautiful drink. Harsh and refined; sour and sweet. Dangerously tasty. A real find for me, this one.
I acquired mine after someone had poured it away, and used the empty as a candle holder. Despite imbibing this Glenrothes from a drain, it was decent. 57.1% seemed to remove any of the drain ickiness. It has also somewhat dulled the pain I'm still in from recently trapping my, ahem, in my zipper.
