Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 700ml / 43%
An old black decanter version of Glenfiddich 18-year-old Ancient Reserve, bottled most likely at some point in the 1990s. These black decanters of Ancient Reserve seem to crop up less frequently than the more familiar green and blue editions.
Glenfiddich's ceramic Ancient Reserve 18-year-old decanters were first introduced in the late 1980s around the time of the distillery's centenary, and were discontinued in the late 1990s, so the whisky here will have been distilled most likely in the 1970s and no later than the very early 1980s. A very drinkable Glenfiddich, this 18-year-old makes a great digestif.
