Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 52.3%
A 24-year-old Glenfarclas 1996 released for the evergreen Family Casks series in 2021. In a world where certain other Speyside distilleries package no-age-statement sherry-finished whiskies in crystal decanters and stick absurd price tags on them, it's wonderful that Glenfarclas keep producing gems like this.
This 1996 Glenfarclas came from a single sherry butt (#1070), yielding 542 bottles at its natural cask strength of 52.3%. A 24-year-old sherry-matured cask strength Speyside single malt whisky in classy but unpretentious packaging at an extremely reasonable price. Long may it continue.
