Released in 2021 as an 11-year-old, this single cask Glenallachie 2009 spent its final maturation period in a red wine cask from Italian SuperTuscan producers Grattamacco, adding complex extra fruit flavours and a reddish tinge to the whisky's deep gold colour.

Bottled at natural cask strength 58.3%, Glenallachie 2009 Cask 5000 had an outturn of just 302 bottles.

Colour: Rich Ruby Blush.

Nose: Waves of honey, peaches and apricots, with toffee, almonds and orange peel.

Taste: Toffee, heather honey, red berries and peaches, fused with apricots, orange peel and nutmeg.
