Glenallachie is a distillery on the up under the stewardship of Billy Walker, with new official bottlings being snapped up in record time. But Signatory know how to pick a cask as well and have unearthed a real beauty here - a 12 year old first fill sherry butt from the 2008 vintage that yielded 626 bottles at a powerful 62.9%.
This sold out in about five seconds flat when we first got it in, but thankfully we managed to get a bit more. Word is clearly spreading about this one.
