Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 48%
Glenallachie's 2009 vintage cask strength edition finished in wine cask from posh Tuscan producer Grattamacco lasted about five minutes before being snapped up, and hopes are high for this follow-up 11-year-old Glenallachie Grattamacco release, bottled in a larger batch at 48%.
Grattamacco make a delicious Bolgheri red wine in God's back garden, Tuscany - their SuperTuscan is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and the local Sangiovese grape familiar to Chianti fans (liver and fava beans optional).
