Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by John Crabbie 70cl / 53.5%
Finally, the second release of John Crabbie 30 year old is here. Again, this is an undisclosed single cask, single malt Scotch whisky from a famous Speyside heavyweight distillery. Although John Crabbie, the company who bottled this whisky was not allowed to name the distillery on the label, it is widely known to be a single cask whisky from the Macallan distillery.
There were 528 bottles produced from the cask at a natural cask strength of 53.5%. The newmake spirit was filled into a sherry cask in 1988 and later bottled in 2019 as a 30-year-old.
The bottle is presented in a solid and very heavy wooden box with two brass hinges and the box is lined with red suede that houses a booklet that tells to story of the Crabbie brand.
The presentation box is slightly different, and in our opinion much better than the last two releases, as they have been handcrafted in England adding to the appeal of this bottle and the superb liquid inside.
