Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by John Crabbie 70cl / 53.5%
Finally, the second release of John Crabbie 30 year old is here. Again, this is an undisclosed single cask, single malt Scotch whisky from a famous Speyside heavyweight distillery. Although John Crabbie, the company who bottled this whisky was not allowed to name the distillery on the label, it is widely known to be a single cask whisky from the Macallan distillery.
There were 528 bottles produced from the cask at a natural cask strength of 53.5%. The newmake spirit was filled into a sherry cask in 1988 and later bottled in 2019 as a 30-year-old.
The bottle is presented in a solid and very heavy wooden box with two brass hinges and the box is lined with red suede that houses a booklet that tells to story of the Crabbie brand.
The presentation box is slightly different, and in our opinion much better than the last 2 releases, as they have been handcrafted in England adding to the appeal of this bottle and the superb liquid inside.
