One of the rare cask strength series of Flora And Fauna bottlings. This Clynelish was one of the highlights of that series. One of those super oily, old style drams that recalls the old pre-Brora Clynelish of old.


The 1982s and 1983s were consistently brilliant vintages at Clynelish and this younger example bottled in 1997 is a fantastic glimpse into the raw power of such a beautifully made distillate. Uncompromisingly waxy, oily and coastal with stunning notes of lemon, brine, cocoanut, seashore, spice and deft touches of peat. Great old style whisky.
