With an outturn of just 120 bottles, it is highly likely that this was drawn from a single cask, although this is not explicitly stated on the label.
Matured in a refill hogshead, this release allows the distillery character to take centre stage, offering notes of lemon zest, green apple and vanilla intertwined with gentle bonfire smoke, sea salt and soft medicinal nuances. Bottled without excessive wood influence, it is a classic example of modern Caol Ila at natural cask strength.

I really shouldn't share how good this whisky is as I don't want it to sell out. One of the few non sherried releases in this series and therefore quite different from most I have tried before. Absolutely delicious whisky.
