A single cask Burnside 1989 28-year-old blended malt whisky released by independent bottlers Cadenhead's in 2017 as part of their 175th Anniversary series.
Burnside is the name given to casks of Balvenie that have been teaspooned with Glenfiddich, so this whisky will be 99.99% 1989 Balvenie, but cannot be sold as single malt whisky. Bottled without colouring or chill filtration, this 28-year-old Burnside 1989 came from a single bourbon barrel that yielded a total of 132 bottles at a tantalising natural cask strength of 47.3% and should be absolutely superb stuff.
