Islay Single Malt Whisky
Bottled By North Star Spirits 70cl / 52.3%
Fresh off the back of winning Independent Bottler of the Year 2020 we have this delightful first-fill sherry butt Bunnahabhain from North Star Spirits as part of their late 2020 batch of releases.
Distilled in 2009 and matured in a single first-fill oloroso sherry butt, this whisky was bottled 11 years later at a cask strength of 52.3% and with a yield of 630 bottles.
The quality of bottlings that North Star have released over the previous batches has seen them rise in popularity and the award for indie bottler of the year is well deserved.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Gingerbread men with raisins as buttons and some vanilla icing as hair.
Palate: Instant smooth sherry-treacle and tablet from a wooden spoon.
Finish: Very long, lingers into Tunnocks chocolate caramel wafer biscuits dunked into your coffee.
