Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 51.6%
Past Connoisseurs Choice bottlings from Islay distilleries have been absolutely on the money and this offering from Bruichladdich aged at almost 30 years old is certainly top drawer.
Batch 20/013 is a 1990 Bruichladdich bottled in 2020 by G&M for their new and improved Connoisseur's Choice range.
This "upper range" with releases of single malts aged 30 years and above (oops, 29 in this case) was launched to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range.
G&M have also spiced things up and bottled this one at a natural strength instead of the usual 46%. It was matured for 29 amazing years in a refill sherry hogshead #2991 that yielded just 173 bottles.
