This 13-year-old Blair Athol 2011 came from single cask 5, a first fill ruby port hogshead cask that yielded 301 bottles at a pleasingly poky natural cask strength of 56.9%. The majority of Blair Athol's spirit is destined for owner Diageo's Bell's blended Scotch whisky, and most of the casks that escape to the indies are sherrywood, so this ruby port cask is a rare and unusual find.
