Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 54.5%
Another very promising sherry finish from this batch of Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection bottlings. This time it's a Blair Athol 2008, which was initially filled into refill hogsheads before being reracked into a fresh sherry butt for 26 months - more of a secondary maturation than a finishing period.
The result is 686 bottles of a gorgeously dark Blair Athol 13-year-old at 54.5%. We've only got a fraction of that, of course, and at this price it looks like great value - Blair Athol takes to sherry very well, so this should be delicious.
