Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers 70cl / 47.5%
Diageo's quiet Blair Athol distillery is actually a bit of a powerhouse, making a muscular Highland spirit that is extremely well-suited to sherry maturation.
In other words, this indie Blair Athol 2008 bottled as a 13-year-old from a small batch of Oloroso sherry hogsheads at 47.5% by Morrison Distillers for their Carn Mor Strictly Limited range, should be an understated belter, and at this price it's a steal.

Tasting Notes
Nutty shortbread, malty sweetness and a dry finish.
