Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Ben Nevis is on fire right now, with hordes of new fans for this distillery's delicious, complex spirit and prices for older bottlings and aged new releases heading skywards.
Thank goodness, then, for Douglas Laing cropping up with this 8-year-old Ben Nevis 2012, bottled at 46% from a refill hogshead DL14658 for their Provenance series. A great value young Ben Nevis - we can't see this one lasting long.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Opens creamy and buttery, yet piquant-running to a milk on cereal natural make up.
Palate: Rich, round and still creamy, bringing in dark sugar and some late flamed orange pith.
Finish: Wonderfully aromatic and mellow showing more citrus, barley and sticky dark fruit.
