Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
A 7 year old Ben Nevis from the 2012 vintage bottled in Sept 2020 just shy of its 8th birthday by Douglas Laing for their Provenance series. This Ben Nevis 2012 was bottled from a refill hogshead yielding 377 bottles at 46%.
Ben Nevis is a distillery having a long-overdue moment in the sun, so it's great to get this young natural cask version. We don't reckon our stock will last too long.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromatic, showing barley grist, clove and ginger with mixed spices and a meaty backdrop.
Palate: Warmly piquant, oily and mouth-coating with sweet chewy candy, honey and late citrus.
Finish: Big and malted, showing all those same flavours with later molasses and extra spice.
