This 10-year-old Balmenach was finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts and was bottled at the legendary 57.1% ABV—the equivalent to 100-Proof in the old UK imperial system. As with all releases in this series, it has been bottled without added colouring or chill filtration.
Balmenach's gutsy wormtub-cooled spirit pairs perfectly with sherry cask matured whisky, so it's no surprise that this particular expression is already so popular.
