Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 54.2%
We're huge fans of Balblair single malt whisky here at WOL - it's such a great spirit and it ages fantastically well in either bourbon or sherry casks.
Exciting times, then, as indie big dogs Gordon & MacPhail weigh in with this rather epic-looking refill American hogshead of the 1989 vintage, bottled as a 31-year-old in 2021 for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range at a very promising 54.2%.
Balblair 1989 Cask 211 bestowed just 134 bottles of this nectar, so as ever it's a good idea not to hang around if you fancy one of these.

A full finish of marzipan and spice.
