Auchroisk is a modern distillery workhorse, making almost 6 million litres of single malt whisky a year for owner Diageo's blends - it began life in the early 1970s making whisky for J&B.
Thankfully the likes of the resourceful Signatory Vintage indie bottlers can ferret out occasional casks from distilleries such as these whose single malts rarely see the light of day.
This bottling of 13 year old Auchroisk is a pair of sister cask hogsheads from the 2007 vintage vatted together and bottled at 43%.
