Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 56.2%
Quarter casks first came to most whisky fans' attention in 2004 with the release of the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, and they've been cropping up ever since. The great advantage of the quarter cask, of course, is that its generous internal surface area to volume ratio gives the whisky inside much more wood contact and influence in a short period.
Arran Quarter Cask: The Bothy was first introduced in 2015 as a limited edition but proved popular enough to earn a spot in the core range in 2019. The Bothy's success is down to the winning combo of Arran's fruity spirit with the vanilla and coconut flavours bestowed by the wood, all accentuated by the generous strength of 56.2%. A charmer.
