Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Gordon MacPhail 70cl / 57.9%
A delicious old 1991 Ardmore 14-year-old small batch bottled at its full natural cask strength of 57.9% by Gordon & MacPhail under their CASK label in 2006.
The casks for this were a trio of first fill bourbon barrels, and this Ardmore 1991 14-year-old is every bit as good as you'd expect from this bottler and distillery. 1990s vintage Ardmores all seem to have a great fat smokiness with lots of juicy waxy, barley and lemony phenolic notes. Wonderful stuff and very old style.

There are a lot of better and cheaper sherried single malts. This one is decent, but too young and I think this is overpriced. I wouldn't buy another bottle of this young single malt at this price level.
