Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Allt-A-Bhainne is a distillery that, it's fair to say, doesn't always get people hot under the collar. It's a workhorse distillery knocking out straightforward Speyside single malt whisky for owner Pernod Ricard's blends, principally Chivas Regal and 100 Pipers.
Douglas Laing know what they're doing, though, so if you're in the market for a straightforward Speyside single malt whisky at a great price then this 12-year-old Allt-A-Bhainne 2008 bottled at 46% from a refill hogshead for the Provenance range is going to tick all your boxes. A great no-risk intro if you haven't tried this distillery before.
