A 2010 Glen Garioch 11-year-old bottled by Murray McDavid without colouring or chill filtration for their Benchmark range.
This 11-year-old Glen Garioch 2010 began life in a pair of sister casks before being finished in first fill Tokaji wine casks, yielding 1559 bottles at the standard Benchmark strength of 46%. Tokaji is a fantastic Hungarian dessert wine, so this Glen Garioch should have picked up plenty of delicious sweet orchard fruit flavours.

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.
Invested in two bottles but will be ordering a third.
Great warming malt enjoyed by two. (One aka Pig)
I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
