Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 75cl / 43%
An old and very rare dumpy bottle of Glendronach 12-year-old Highland single malt whisky, bottled for export to the Canary Islands at some point in the early 1980s. This edition is particularly unusual due to being bottled in clear glass - the vast majority of these Glendronach 12-year-olds were released in green bottles.
The early 1980s were a great time to be a Glendronach fan, if you could find it, with the distillery's late 1960s and early 1970s spirit giving a whisky of superb complexity, showing herbal and mineral touches and sweet, waxy fruit. These 12-year-olds were generally a mix of bourbon and sherry casks and are always fantastic drams.
